Instructions for the Ice Cream Contest

  • Create an original new flavor of ice cream or submit an old family favorite. Purity Dairies will produce the Best of Show winning recipe as one of its ice cream flavors next year. Recipes should include at least one (1) Purity dairy product that is not ice cream. Recipes that include “store-bought ice cream” cannot be accepted.
  • Name your ice cream with a catchy, fun name!
  • Your ice cream must be made and frozen at least 24 hours ahead of time. 
  • Ice cream product samples may not contain raw eggs. Recipe must be clearly labeled if it contains any Allergens, including but not excluded to: eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat (gluten), soy. Check the box and circle the appropriate allergen.
  • Complete the Contest Entry Form and bring two (2) copies of each recipe with you to the Crankin’.
  • Bring two (2) samples of each ice cream recipe (frozen for 24 hours) in the containers provided with the labels completed to the Crankin’.
  • Please bring ice cream to the Crankin’ site ICE CREAM CHECK IN between 2:45 – 3:30 PM.
  • Professional chefs, employees of sponsors or employees of Martha O’Bryan are not eligible to compete for Best of Show contest.
