Kids in the Kitchen is an initiative launched by the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) in 2006 to help communities address the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition.\n This year\, the JLN’s hopes to attract a broader audience of children\, fourth through sixth graders\, including those at the James A. Cayce Homes\, the city’s largest housing project.\n At Kids in the Kitchen\, community and JLN volunteers will demonstrate various food preparation techniques and assist the children in preparing healthy snacks and meals that are tasty and easy.
