| Martha O'Bryan Family Resource Center There isn’t just one obstacle blocking a family that wants to be self-sufficient. Besides the obvious issues such as lack of education, job skills and affordable child care, there are others such as emotional challenges, substance abuse, domestic violence, and health. But the first step for that family striving for more is often simply connecting with the right resources. In July 1995, the Martha O’Bryan Center created a dynamic partnership of public and private organizations to form the Martha O'Bryan Family Resource Center. The Martha O'Bryan FRC is a unique initiative that coordinates social service providers and private-sector and community efforts to maximize the impact of existing programs and resources and identify and fill in gaps in services. The Martha O'Bryan FRC is a comprehensive strategy- not simply a program- designed to assist communities by bringing together families and resources. The Martha O'Bryan FRC strategy involves five basic components:
The Martha O'Bryan FRC is committed to delivering, convenient, comprehensive, and efficient services to meet the changing needs of families in the James A. Cayce Homes and the surrounding east Nashville community.
