Reigning Miss Tennessee to Judge at Purity Miss Martha's Ice Cream Crankin'

Tucker Perry photoTucker Nichol Perry, the reigning Miss Tennessee and a Top 10 finisher in the 2010 Miss USA Pageant, will judge homemade ice cream at the Purity Miss Martha’s Ice Cream Crankin' on Sunday June 13.
 
Perry is a student at Belmont University majoring in Commercial Music – Voice Performance. In addition to working in music videos (Taylor Swift's "Teardrops on My Guitar" and Martina McBride’s "Anyway"), Perry also has stood in for Vanessa Williams and Tyra Banks in Hannah Montana: The Movie. She is active with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.

The Crankin' celebrates its 25th year and is the largest public fundraiser for the Martha O'Bryan Center, a creative activist ministry based in Cayce Place, Nashville’s oldest, largest and poorest public housing development. The average annual household income at Cayce Place is $5,000.
 
About 3,000 people are expected to sample more than 500 gallons of homemade ice cream of all flavors—from plain vanilla (the nation's favorite) to gourmet. A panel of judges selects a "Best of Show," which will become the next flavor in Purity Dairies' ice cream lineup.
 
Music starts at 3 p.m.; ice cream tasting starts goes from 4-6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville. 
 
Tickets are $10 (advance sale, $13 at gate) $8 for children ($10 at gate) and free for children 2 and under. Tickets will be on sale at the site as well as in participating churches. Samples of Purity ice cream products will be available at no cost. Learn more at www.marthaobryan.org/crankin.
