Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my young children to volunteer with me?

Youth ages 12-17 must have an adult present with them at all times while volunteering. Adults with children under 12 must have special permission from the Volunteer Coordinator.

I need proof of my hours for school, a scholarship, or another reason.  Can you help?

When you sign in at the front desk, please notify the receptionist that you will need proof of your volunteer hours. Be sure to sign in and out each time you volunteer at the Center so that we can provide accurate numbers. Martha O'Bryan Center does not validate hours on Hands on Nashville or send letter of proof of service unless requested by a volunteer.

How can I fulfill my court-ordered community service hours?

Please call the front desk at (615) 254-1791 with questions regarding court-ordered or mandated community service.

The maximum number of volunteer for the Food Bank is 3 on Hands on Nashville? Can you accept my group of 4 or more?

Unfortunately, due to the size of the Food Bank, we can only accept the number of volunteers listed on Hands on Nashville.

Can you accommodate a group of 50+ people?

Martha O'Bryan Center is willing to talk to any group about their needs and options for service. While we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate every group, we would love to hear from you to see how we might partner in service!

I am having trouble with the Hands on Nashville website? Who should I contact?

MOBC is unable to help with technical difficulties on the HON.org website. Please call Hands on Nashville at (615)298-1108 or email support@hon.org.
