In Cayce, brown is the color of winter. Buildings, grass and leaves are brown and the community is dark at 5:00. The joy of the season is confined to the faces of the children and families who are our neighbors. I am always amazed by the gestures of love I receive from all my friends here in Cayce Homes. As a tutor in math and science, Lisa never expected to become the resident expert in all things algebra. But most important for Lisa were the relationships she developed with her students. They spent their time cleaning buses, vans and the Faith Community Room, and learned about the services Martha O'Bryan Center provides for people living in Nashville's most impoverished neighborhoods.
